Competition Details:

• Submission Deadline: September 27, 2024   

• Eligibility: Grades 9-12

• Each entry must consist of 1-2 participants.

• Entry Limit: One team per school  

Submission Method:  

• Final Video: The edited video file must be in a widely accepted format (e.g., MP4, MOV), between 20-40 seconds long.  

• Compiled Bundle: A folder containing all raw footage, images, and project files used in the creation of the video must be submitted alongside the final video.

Rules:

• Original Footage: All video clips must be filmed by the students. Pre-existing or stock footage is not allowed.

• Video Editing Software: Participants may use any video editing software of their choice.

• AI Usage: Minimal AI use is permitted. The focus should be on the participant’s own editing skills.

• Loop Playback: The final video must be seamlessly looped.

• Music: The music used must be appropriate, with no vulgar or inappropriate content.

• Video Duration: The video must be between 20-40 seconds long.

Judgement Criteria:  

• Each criterion is worth 10 points, for a total possible score of 50 points.

• Seamlessness of Transitions: How fluid and smooth the transitions between shots and scenes are.

• Use of Camera Angles and Framing: Creativity and variety in camera angles and the framing of each shot.

• Use of Sound and Visual Effects: The effective use of sound and visual effects to enhance the overall quality of the video.

• Color Grading: The use of color to set the mood, ensure consistency, and enhance visual appeal.

• Overall Creativity and Presentation: The originality and impact of the video as a whole.
